I bought this to save time. I understand watching it several times if I’m not used to it, but it’s disappointing that I have to hunt even for the basics myself.
Hello. Thank you for the feedback. Here are replies to each point.
1. The guide does not match the current settings
Confirmed. The Skin tab in particular has changed a lot from the previous version. We will clean up that section and then reshoot and re-record the videos.
2. Hard for a first-time user to follow
If you remember any specific screens or sections where you felt that, please tell us so we can fix the guide more accurately.
Weighting itself is not an auto-skinning feature of BipedPlus. If Influences are registered correctly on the Skin modifier, you can keep using the method you already use. (Stock 3ds Max skinning and other plugins are both fine.)
Which bones should get weights
The tutorial did not explain this enough. Assign to Skin only the bones whose is_skinned column is O in the document below.
B.1 — Skin Bones basic reference
Quick Skin is the feature that adds exactly those bones. Do not assign to the original Biped bones (Bip001 *).
Because we extend the existing Biped, there can be more to learn. We will keep checking the guide and UI so first-time users can follow along.
3. In Max 2026, Biped does not add from Skin Add
BipedPlus does not use Biped bones as Skin Influences. Assign only to the Skin bone structure under Root. If you handled it with Quick Skin, that is the correct approach.
4. Having to hunt for the basics
By this point the overall flow should be clearer. If you still get stuck, leave a note on KakaoTalk open chat (1:1 inquiry) or on this feedback board. We will walk you through it until it makes sense. We will keep revising the lectures to match that process.
Thank you.
